

| Cable Television Service in Montana The Montana cable television industry first began in 1954 to bring television service to people who lived in areas that were not able to receive television broadcast signals, in those early days that was just about everyone who lived in Montana. Since those early days, the cable industry has grown from a fledgling business venture into a dynamic telecommunications industry! The Montana Cable Telecommunications Association has proudly served Montana cable operators and their customers for the past half century. Currently Montana Cable operators serve over 153,200 cable television households via more than 53 cable systems throughout the State. Today Montana cable customers enjoy an ever increasing variety of programming choices to meet their news, entertainment information, educational, sports, public affairs and weather information needs. Many Montana cable systems now offer their residential and business customers high-speed Internet access, data services and telephone in addition to the current digital and analog video service.
